I checked out GAK (on Warp) in my local store today.
It's fairly AI/IDM like... 606 drum machine, I think it is...very minimal
But, the reason for my post is to ask someone out there to contact Warp and
tell them to CHANGE THEIR VINYL PRESSOR!!! The thing that creates the MATRIX
or whatever it's called...that creates the plates which press the vinyl.
Or tell them to get better vinyl...maybe they recycle too much and get lotsa
dirt in it....i dunno
just tell them their pressing quality (sound quality) is getting WORSE and
WORSE with every release!
GAK sounded all distorted...the bass...I don't think it's supposed to be like
that (a GAK (Richie Hawtin?) effect)...
anyway...has anyone seen this 4-tracker? Are all in bad shape?
